The HNFD Board of Fire Commissioners consists of 5 citizens elected from within the boundaries of the fire district. Elections are held every two years in conjunction with the November General Election. Two seats are available at one cycle and 3 are available on the next. Commissioners are elected for a term of 4 years.
The Board chooses its officers in the December/January time frame. The positions are Chairperson, Vice-chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Positions are held for a maximum of 2 years.
Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the every month at 6 PM. Meetings are held at Fire Station 45, 8618 Esplanade St. Navarre FL. The meetings are open to the public and are always invited to attend.
