Annual Fire Assessment
Property owners in the Holley-Navarre Fire District receive a notice in the mail advising them of their assessment amount each year.
The fire district assessment for residential structures is based on the TOTAL GROSS SQUARE FOOTAGE. The total square footage for each home can be found on the Santa Rosa County

*NOTE: The TOTAL GROSS SQUARE FOOTAGE includes the living space, patios, garages, entryways, sunrooms, etc.
Holley-Navarre Fire District Non-Ad Valorem Rate Structure FY 26-27 (as approved by HNFD Board of Fire Commissioners on 14 SEP 2026 and signed as Resolution 26-03):
- Residential - $0.1005 per sq. ft. Minimum $231.15 (min. 2,300 sq. ft.)
- Commercial - $0.2626 per sq. ft. Minimum $603.98 (min. 2,300 sq. ft.)
- Vacant Lot - $140.46 Minimum $140.46
- Unimproved Acreage - $46.8186 per acre Minimum $140.46 (3 acres)
All fire assessments are collected by the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector and distributed directly to the HNFD.
